GTruman lives and works in Bloomington, Illinois, where she has lived since 2005. She grew up with Marshall Field’s stores in Chicago, spent ten years in Bangkok, Thailand, and took her undergrad education in Galesburg where she used to call herself a writer. Now she isn’t so sure.

Recent research interests have included Shakespeare and Chaucer. Most evenings are spent watching House episodes and aspiring towards a comfortable middle ground between minimalism and keeping personal collections.  And then there are the forays into the kitchen now and again; with some confidence, she can say that she can bake a pumpkin pie, prepare a roast, bake a French toast casserole, and make a killer spinach and artichoke dip.  Thank you, Food Network.

GTruman has written for a local lifestyle magazine called TC Style and is now shifting her focus towards the occasional classes taken at Illinois State University’s Department of English as well as her day job.
